Quantance offers two different product solutions for envelope tracking (ET) in smart phones, tablets, WiFi hotspots, data cards and other high speed mobile devices; a single chip solution utilizing baseband-driven MIPI® control and envelope interfaces (Q845) and a dual chip solution that requires no baseband interaction for control or envelope generation (Q1005 and Q745).
Both the Q845 and Q1005/Q745 solutions feature patented qBoost Envelope Tracking technology and thus increase the transmit power and PA efficiency for 3G and 4G/LTE power amplifiers used for high speed data. In addition, both are designed specifically to be low noise solutions to ensure that the end-product implementation with qBoost meets 3GPP noise requirements.
Both product solutions function primarily as instantaneous ET power supplies to provide increased transmit power and improved efficiency. Both also support average power tracking (APT) in situations where using APT can provide system efficiency benefits. The product characteristics are outlined below.
